天津大学Tianjin University

天津大学（Tianjin University, Peiyang University），简称“天大”，坐落于天津市，其前身为北洋大学，始建于1895年10月2日，是中国第一所现代大学。1951年，北洋大学与河北工学院合并定为现名。是享誉海内外的综合性高水平研究型大学。

Tianjin University is the oldest institution of higher education in the modern history of China. Founded in 1895 as Peiyang University, Tianjin University’s 125-year history is the epitome of the progress of modern Chinese higher education, embodying the Chinese people’s indomitability through challenging times. During its growth spanning three centuries, the University has been a pioneer in several fields, from the first aero engine in China to the first Hydraulics Laboratory established in China. 톈진（天津）대학교는 교육부 산하 국가중점대학교이고, 전신은 베이양（北洋） 대학교로서, 1895년 10월 2일에 설립된 중국 최초의 현대대학교이다. “실사구시”를 교훈으로, “엄격하게 학문을 연구”하는 학풍과 “애국공헌”의 전통은 해내외에 널리 알려져 있다. 1951년 국가대학교 조정에서 톈진대학교로 개명하였고, 1959년 중국공산당 중앙에서 최초로 확정한 16개의 국가중점대학교의 하나로 확정되었으며, “211프로젝트”, “985프로젝트” 입선, 최초의 중점 건설대학교로나아가 국가의 “세계 일류대학교건설” A급 대학교로 선정되었다.

天津大学は教育部直属の国家重点大学であり、中国最初の現代大学である北洋大学（1895年10月2日創設）を前身としています。常に「实事求是（事実に基づいて真実を求める）」を校訓とし、「严谨治学（謹厳に学問を治める）」を校風とし、「愛国・奉献」を伝統とし、国内外で高い評価を得ています。1951年に中国政府の学部再編を経て「天津大学」に改称され、1959年に中国共産党中央委員会が認定した第1期16校の国家重点大学の1校に指定されました。「211工程」および「985工程」の第1期重点建設大学、「国家世界一流大学への建設工程」のA類大学にも選ばれています。
